President of Hurd Studios, founded her medical animation firm in 1998. Located right on Fifth Avenue in New York City, her firm has quickly grown to become the most highly respected firm in 3D computer medical animation in the nation. Hurd Studios creates all aspects of these educational movies - from concept, to research, script, storyboard, sound design, video and editing. These productions are designed in such a way to be used in many tactics, such as websites, DVDs and trade shows, needed throughout the life of marketing a brand. This was a new business model!  For two decades, while blazing a trail in medical illustration, Hurd also found some time to paint landscapes, another passion that has intensified over the years. Now, with the animation company firmly established, Jane is turning her love for visual representation of nature from the body's landscape using computers as the medium to the earth's landscape using oil paint as the medium.
